Nerf Motorized Ballzooka MP-150

Nerf has produced several ball blasters over the years in several different designs. The one trait that they all seem to share, however, is that they generally cap out range-wise at 15'. The few ball blasters that can break the cap tend to be flywheel powered rather than spring powered, and the Nerf Motorized Ballzooka is one of the best:

The Motorized Ballzooka was released back in 2000 with a price tag of $24.99. It's a hefty blaster, even without the 4 D batteries it requires to function and thus it came with a carrying strap. To operate the blaster, you pull back the cover and load up to 5 yellow ballistic balls into the slot. Next, you pull the orange slide bar back until the entire clip rotates before releasing it. Finally, you hold down the flywheel rev button and pull the trigger to fire.

Between its 3 clips, the Motorized Ballzooka can carry a total of 15 balls. With newer batteries, it can fire balls 15-20' with a good rate of fire. Like any flywheel blaster, the flywheels slow after each shot, which means if you want to have a fast rate of fire, your range will suffer slightly. All in all, this is one of the best ball blasters I own and a great choice for an Awfuls round blaster.

  2. I would like to see more NERF, Vortex dart or discs blasters. Just anything about foam. Not balls and melee stuff. Just Nerf and foam.

  3. I've seen someone actually carrying this during an HvZ game. I never saw him in action, though, so I have no idea how he fared with it.
