So now that Foam Nation has been officially launched, it's time to start working towards accomplishing some of the goals we laid out. The first order of business for me is to start making some in depth mod guides in written form. Although I have a few specific guides planned, it's time for some questions.
Are there any blasters you guys want written (or video) guides of specifically. The more recent and common the blaster the better, but if there is something a lot of people really want to see, we can work on finding one.
I'd also like to know if there are any things that you guys would like to see on the site itself. I know chats are popular, and there are probably more things that I don't yet know about.
In either case, let me know what you guys want to see in the future.
MiredThoughts, I would love to see a quadshot guide from you.
ReplyDeleteI actually have all the parts I need except the Quadshot, but I already have two perfectly functioning ones. If I ever make another for a replacement or a commission, I'll make a write-up on it.
DeleteCan you make a mod guide for the praxis but kinda simple.. i wanna mod my praxis but all these mod guides are kinda hard to do.
ReplyDeleteHey drac!
ReplyDeleteIf you could do a tutorial on uin 13's vulcan that would be cool.

Or just do it and show us!
I'd say the Longstrike is a good start.
ReplyDeleteI've been considering buying one, but have been holding out until I decide if it's worth it mod-wise, and to see if there'll be an elite-series longstrike.
I think a very comprehensive dart tag hyperfire mod guide would be very nice. There arent a lot of guides on hyperfires out there. With lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou should set up all the scheduled wars and hvz's that you will be attending (when and where)
ReplyDeleteA mod guide for quadshot? Sounds nice
ReplyDeleteI think that would be good too! I'm working on my first one right now.
DeleteWhile I'm thinking about it, I have one more question for you guys. Do you prefer video or text and picture based guides?
ReplyDeleteI like video guides :)
DeleteI prefer text and picture based guides.
DeleteVideos to help show how things move around pieces but pictures are also nice since pausing videos doesn't always give the nicest images
DeleteI once tried to mod my proton. It failed. When I put it back together it worked fine except I have to slap the tray back into place because the tray return thing doesn't really work. I wanna see a mod guide so I can take it apart, fix that problem and make the proton better!
ReplyDeleteText and picture based.
ReplyDeleteI like forums as much as chat boxes, which is what most everyone wants.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be easier for everyone to talk about mods if there was a forum add-on that others could post on.
While a blog is good, it is only your posts beyond our comments which no one really reads comments.
While a forum is more organized and easier to comunmicate considering a chatbox would be kind of chaotic if this blog is going to be as popular as you want it to be.
I would also suggest making several rooms in the chat box to help slow it down otherwise the chat would be overflowed and spammed and would end up just not being fun.
Anyways good luck!!! and I hope to see some awesome mod reviews and learn some new stuff.
i personally like pictures and text but thats just me....
ReplyDeleteI think the guides should be text but have a video to accompany it. One thing I think you guys should do, so as to make your guides applicable to the whole community is to try and use metric and imperial measurements as well as, if possible, listing potential substitutes for those who do not reside in the U.S.A. I'd be willing to help with this if needed.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'd love to see a brassed Spectre and/or Maverick.
text and picture!
ReplyDeleteFoam Nation now has a Chatroll Chat. Feel free to further suggest things there.
ReplyDeleteHey i would like to see a solid, in depth walkthrough on how to mod the @#!*% out of a longstrike haha. I bought it the other day and it really sucks.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I'd like to see a detailed explanation of what all the locks do in individual blasters, I've been searching but I can't find a clear answer.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I really would like to contribute some things in the future. Specifically being the Homemades that I build. Have fun getting off of the ground, I will be in the reserves when you are ready for me. <3
ReplyDeleteNoM
I'd like to see more longshot stuff Drac
ReplyDeleteHey drac. I know you said u never wanted to do one on this blaster, but I just got a deploy for free and I was wondering if u can do a guide on that but if not it's fine.
ReplyDeleteCould you please do a magstrike? Thanks
ReplyDeletedrac's videos have always been very comprehensive. i would like to see a stampede guide in text form though...
ReplyDeleteDrac and Mired, first things first. Great site I look forward to seeing more from you two.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, Darc is there any chance we will get a more detailed (written up) mod guide for your Rayven rewire? I would like to do it, but I don't know the first thing to do. Your video was good, but I think a write up would supplement the video.
Thanks!
I wouldn't mind seeing new mods for some of the less common blasters like the Stormfire and such. Only reason being is cause there are plenty of mods for raiders, recons, at, mavericks, etc. I'm not saying don't do them eventually but those can be done quickly.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note could we get like a list of blasters down the side that link us straight to the mod guides/reviews? and like a search bar [sorry if they are there and I'm just blind]
Can you guys do a detailed mod on the maverick and nitefinder or nite-mav.
