Nerf Hailfire

So Nerf has released their teaser video for the Hailfire, and once again it confirms a lot of what we suspected:

For those of you that were hoping for another spring-powered blaster, too bad; the Hailfire is clearly flywheel-powered like the Nitron and Rayven. Although it has a capacity for 8 clips in its lazy susan of death, we're apparently only getting 4 and 24 darts, which means that it will come with 6 round clips. It's claiming a max capacity of 144 darts, which means that the drums most likely won't fit. Most interestingly, it says in the video that batteries won't be included, which means it's anyone's guess as to what powers this monstrosity.

You can watch the full video here.

  1. Just a note: Vulcan, Barricade, and Stampede all use batteries, but do not include them in the package. An acceleration trigger implies the HailFire will be battery powered in similar fashion to the Rayven. Being clip system would make it functional with only a set of AA batteries as well

    1. Considering the range claims, it would have to be at least 10 double A batteries, or another power source.

    1. You would have to to get the 144 dart capacity claims, because 8 normal clips would only provide a 48 dart capacity.

    2. what if you put 35 dart drums in every second space and 6 dart clips in the rest? that would give you...164 rounds, i think they would all fit

    3. Perhaps if standard N-Strike clips work, use alpha trooper drums for clip slots. Another idea is the flip clip.

    4. Hold the Phone SEMI AUTO not full auto? I want to see a full auto blaster for this range. I will buy the hailfire none-the-less so long as it dosn't go Nitron on us and FAIL EPICALLY
