Introducing the Serenity CS-Infinity, high res shots

Hey guys, I just completed the serenity and OMW has completed another really nice kit, so I created a really nice blaster to put it inside and the results created a very cool zombie slaying machine. High res pics to follow.

  3. Other than the paintjob and OMW kit, is there anything else unique to this Alpha Trooper?

  5. Is it possible to make a maverick clip accepting? If so please post here on Foam Nation or on your YouTube channel

    1. Well a maverick can be N strike clip accepting but man that would be a project. A better idea is to make the turrets into pop out clips. I might post a tutorial on nerfetc.blogspot.com. That way if you find any cheap mavericks, you can use their turrets as clips.

    2. I already did that but my problem was that there are not much readily available turrets and if I buy mavericks I don't use the gun and unless Nerf starts selling turret clips alone and if Nerf started making mavericks with the turret clip mod and sold it like that with five turrets, then I wonder if a maverick will be clip fed with n strike clips.

  6. Can you mod a maverick to be clip accepting, this is not a commission I'm just curious.

  7. i dont think theres a point to making a clip fed maverick, youve basically asked for a recon

    1. I guess it's the same. Thanks. Just wondering since you did it to a barricade

    2. By the way, have you finished your steam punk cad bane and general Grevious star wars blasters yet, because I haven't seen it yet on your YouTube?

    1. Considering that non-Rayven and non-painted clips are bright orange, and that the tip is (probably) orange, I would assume so. With a normal clip in it, it would be easily distinguished from a real gun.

  9. Just got my massacre kit today, it's well good.
If you've got a metal it would be so epic in that.

  10. Drac, I am a nerf modder that has a great idea!!!! What if you singled a maverick?! Cut off the front and get rid of that awful turret seal. Then epoxy a barrel/coupler on and you have a maverick that can compete with a highly modded nitefinder! Please consider this. I am starting a YouTube channel called DragonsndTigermods. Hope you check it out!

    1. You should rethink the thought that a maverick could compete with a "highly modded" nite finder. It could be more realistic to think that a singled maverick could compete with a lightly modified (AR removed, seal improvement, spring replacement/addition) nite finder. The problem with the maverick is that it's a reverse plunger blaster with a tiny plunger, you don't get a lot of compression out of it unless you've modified the plunger system to eliminate dead space. The nite finder on the other hand, is a direct plunger blaster that has a much bigger plunger tube than the maverick, as well as little to no dead space (though you could always find some if you looked hard enough). That difference means the world when it comes to range. In all honesty, if you want a front loading single shooter that gets great distance and has a ton of modding potential, go with the nite finder.

    2. The reason that the Mav can't get 70 ft, only 50, is because it loses so much air with that turret seal. There is no way to get a perfect turret seal, so it has less potential. If you single it, plug some deadspace with backer rod, it can definitely compete with a minimized and couplered nitefinder

    3. I don't know if you are the same Anonymous who I was replying to or not but I'll just assume that you are.

While the air seal on the turret is a major downfall for the maverick, I can't see a world where the maverick can compete with a "highly modded" nite finder (though if you do it and make a video or write-up for it, I'd be quite "shut down" as well as interested/pleased) as you put it in the original comment. I can see the maverick being good if it was singled and couplered, it could definitely get some great range, but that small reverse plunger tube has little potential with spring additions being pretty much impossible with its design and spring replacements having been hard to come by (though the spring from a switch shot does a nice job due to its narrow width and much longer length) until OMW came out with their springs of course.

I was, admittedly, responding primarily to the use of the term "highly modded" because it kinda irritates me to see some modders (not necessarily you since I don't know what your definition of highly modded is and I may or may not have assumed that you didn't know what you were talking about because its the internet and I am trained to think everyone is a 12 year old n00b) use that term to describe basic mods. To me, a highly modded nite finder would consist of not only the basics (including couplering) but also an internals reworking to extend the draw and increase spring compression to get the absolute maximum potential out of the blaster in question.

    4. Well, I'm not saying it can compete with a nitefinder rifle, but I think it can get 70-80 ft flat for sure. PS, I'm not a n00b. My first mod got a longstrike to hit 70 ft. It's a reverse plunger system, remember?

      Delete
    5. Yes I remember lol, though it has a much larger plunger and a few more options for springs. All that aside, I didn't come to attack you, I was just adding to the thread of comments with my own thoughts and opinions. And like I said, regardless of your proficiency with blaster modification, some keywords just jump out at me as things a n00b would say, and highly modded is just one of those terms. I was just pointing out that my first reaction on the internet is to assume people don't know what they are talking about (because lets face it, most don't) but you did bring up some good points, and I will be interested to see your mod if it goes on your youtube channel.
